The Cassation Court rejects the appeal submitted by the accused officers of torturing a prisoner to death in Wady El-Natroun prison |

The Cassation Court accepted the appeal No. 73/20515, generally, and rejected to appeal the issued decision from the Criminal Court in El-Minofeia that sentenced to ten years in prison against the officer Esam El-Din Antar Amin “in Prisons Services and a police commissioner in prison 2, 97k in Wady El-Natroun” and Magdy Mohammed Mahmoud “in Prisons Services, prison 2 97k in desert “, and seven years in prison against, in addition to seven years in prison against Sa’d Farag Ebrahim “in prison 2, Wady El-Natroun”, the police corporal Gamal Sa’d El-Din “ prison 2 79k in Wady El-Natroun”, the police officer assistant Abdallah Mahmoud Iraqi “in prison 2 97k in desert” and the corporal Gom’a Sa’d El-Din “prison 2 97k in desert”, because of beating and torturing the prisoner Ahmed Mohammed Mohammed Eesa to death, in Wady El-Natroun prison.
These incidents took place when the convicted officers beat and tortured the citizen Ahmed Mohammed Mohammed Eesa to death, the prisoner of Wady El-Natroun in prison 2, in 27/1/2000 until 10/2/2000. The first one of the convicted officers was accused of forging an official reports, as he reported that the victim had fought with some other prisoners, and then the police commissioner took the fingerprint of the dead prisoner on the official report. As for the second convicted officer, he reported that the victim died because of injuries when he was fighting. The General prosecution Bureau has had procedures to investigate in that incident and referring the case to the Criminal Court in No. 1400 in 2000 El-Sadat criminals, and registered as 71, 2000 total Shebin El-Koum that issued the same previous punishments, however the six convicted appealed the decision, then the appeal was accepted and the case was referred to another Criminal Cthat that decided the same punishments, then they appealed again before the Cassation Court which accepted the appeal generally but it was rejected subjectively and the Cassation Court recognized the decision against them. |
